Solar Powered Volkswagen Car

Peter Wilkins for 2010 Swansea Metropolitan University Degree Show has just designed the solar powered Volkswagen supercar in automotive design which will be available with 200 limited editions and will be on sale in 2010. This model is considered as a closer approach to the environmentally friendly means of transportation. To be more specific, this luxury supercar used photovoltaic cells which are set on the upper external surface of this vehicle. These cells capture solar energy and supply power for the mid-mounted hydrogen fuel cell stack. One more thing, the four wheels will be powered by an independent electric motor. The supercar makes use of design parts from the Volkswagen Scirocco like the forward pitching nose, side features, as well as the dominant front grill.
