Installing A Solar Pv

A solar PV is an abbreviation for photovoltaic or PV. A solar PV is the method of generating the electric power. The solar PV is the tool that converts solar radiation or sunlight from the sun into the current that enters your home or business. A solar panel (photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel) is a packaged interconnected assembly of solar cells, also known as photovoltaic cells. The solar panel can be used as a component of a larger photovoltaic system to generate and supply electricity in commercial and residential applications. Because a single solar panel can only produce a limited amount of power, many installations contain several panels. A Pv solar energy system typically includes an array of solar panels and mostly German made Inverter.

Solar systems can be installed by a MCS accredited solar installers in or on homes, businesses office, industrial building, farm or barn in most countries in the world but to be effective these solar systems must have daylight to work effectively. That is why there are various combinations of systems offered. A building that has no access to electric or gas power would be a good place to install a solar system but unless that building such as a remote fishing cabin in a remote area of the country gets lots of sunlight it wont be effective as a stand alone system. This stand alone system is often referred to as an off grid PV system meaning it is not attached to any form of supplemental system. If that fishing cabin in a remote area isnt used in the winter when there is no or little sunlight then again a solar system would make sense because no one would require any electricity coming into that cabin in the winter so no need for heating or other appliances being used.

If you carry this example further this solar system might be coupled with a battery which has the ability to store sunlight for future use. This then is no longer considered an off grid solar system because there is some form of back up that works along with the solar system.

If you have a solar system installed on your home you are talking about having a major renovation performed on your home. In many areas of the United Kingdom where there is plenty of sunlight such as Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bristol, London and the South Weswt many new homes are built with some form of solar panels already installed in the home. These are areas of the country where there is plenty of sunlight but in most cases these will not be off grid systems. Instead they will be coupled with an electric power form the electric company so that when there is adequate sunlight the solar panel system will work and when there is no sunlight even any stored in a battery the electric power from the electric company will take over as the power source for the home or business. This type of system is generally referred to as a Grid connected systems where the solar energy system is integrated with the electric source from a non sunlight source and in this case the solar grid acts as the second source of energy.

Installing Solar PV system is tax-free, Retail price index (RPI)-linked return of 10 per cent a year, guaranteed for 25 years.

So installing a solar panel grid may save you energy costs and provide an effective alternative source of renewable energy.
